Page Township seeks quotes for brush control and noxious weed spraying along up to 11.75 miles of Township road rights-of-way up to 33’ from road center. Contractor must be certified by the MN Dept. of Agriculture. Contractor is responsible for notifying landowners. Spraying must be completed by September 1, 2021. Must include cost quotes for 9.25 miles (lump sum) and additional work (per quarter mile, up to 2.5 miles), herbicide(s) to be used, and application method. Certificate of Insurance is required to be submitted with the quote.  Quotes must be received by 6:00 PM on July 19, 2021.  Page Town Board reserves the right to reject any or all quotes. Right-of-Way Mowing

Page Township will be accepting quotes for 2021 ditch mowing. Quotes should include a lump sum rate for approximately 50 swath miles of right-of-way, mowing a minimum of 7 feet and no more than 8 feet from edge of road as appropriate. Grass shall be cut between 4 and 6 inches depending on ditch condition. Mowing will be done one or two times during the season. Initial mowing must be complete by August 1. Certificate of Insurance is required to be submitted with the quote. Quotes must be received by 6:00 PM on July 19, 2021.  Page Town Board reserves the right to reject any or all quotes. Gravel 2021: Request for Quotes

Page Township seeks QUOTES for 6,000 cubic yards (more or less) of Class 5 aggregate surfacing (per MNDOT Specification 3138). The aggregate gradation shall be modified to 7% to 12% clay content by weight passing the 200 sieve. Gravel shall be delivered and windrowed upon Township roads, as ordered, by September 4, 2021. Gravel contractor is responsible for coordinating delivery with Township’s grading contractor. Gravel contractor must give 48 hours’ notice to the Township prior to start of delivery. All work must be billed in a single invoice and submitted with scale tickets and gravel analysis for each load delivered.

Road Grading 2021: Request for Quotes

Page Township seeks QUOTES for road grading for 2021.  Written quotes must include:

(1) Lump sum rate for each pass of the full 22 miles (more or less) of road. Each pass will be done approximately every other week throughout the season.

(2) Hourly rate for additional, more frequent grading of certain road sections on-call as requested by the Town.

(3) Hourly rate for grader with packer attachment for applying new gravel or as needed.

Annual Election of Officers and Annual Meeting

Notice is hereby given to the qualified voters of Page Township, Mille Lacs County, State of Minnesota, that the Annual Election of Town Officers and Annual Town Meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at the Page Town Hall: 21804 – 140th Avenue, Milaca.

The Election Poll hours will be from 5:00PM to 8:00PM at which time the voters will elect: 

SUPERVISOR C for a three-year term,

TREASURER for a two-year term.

The Annual Meeting will commence at 8:00PM to conduct all business prescribed by law, including setting the 2022 property tax levy.  Due to the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency, in-person capacity in the Town Hall will be limited and face masks required.  A remote connection via Zoom will be posted on www.PageTownship.org to allow participation in the meeting from home.  Outside entities seeking Township support must submit their request in writing.

DECEMBER MEETING: The next regular meeting of the Page Township Board of Supervisors will be held on Monday, December 21 at 6:00pm. The meeting agenda is posted in the Google Drive.

CANDIDATE FILING: Eligible residents interested in running for Township officer may file their candidacy between December 29 and January 12. Positions to be elected at the March 2020 Township election are Supervisor (c) for a 3-year term and Treasurer for a 2-year term. The Hall will be open for filing on January 12th from 1:00pm – 5:00pm. Contact the Clerk for more information.

2021 BUDGET: At the December Board meeting, Supervisors will set the 2021 Township budget based on the approved property tax levy (at the March 2020 Annual Meeting) and other known funding sources. The 2021 property tax levy totals $144,000 (over 70% of which is dedicated to road maintenance), which will represent approximately 75% of the overall budget.

HALL RENTAL: The Town Hall continues to be available for public rental, although all use must adhere to current orders and guidelines put out by the Minnesota Governor and other authorities. Currently, that means all gatherings must be limited to 10 individuals from no more than 3 households. Renters are responsible for ensuring that all masking and social distancing requirements are met. Hall rental forms and availability calendar are available online.

Notice of Special Meeting (CARES Act)

SPECIAL MEETING: As determined at the September Regular Meeting, the Page Township Board of Supervisors will hold a Special Meeting on Thursday, October 1 at 6:00pm at the Page Town Hall. The purpose of the meeting is to make final authorizations for use of federal funding provided to the Township under the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act.

CARES ACT: Page Township was allocated a total of $19,306.82 from standard ($18,725.00) and election ($581.82) CARES Act disbursements through the State of Minnesota and Mille Lacs County. The Board will determine how to utilize these funds within eligible categories, such as public health, business relief, and protections for poll workers and voters at the November 3 General Election. Public input will be welcomed.

      Notice is hereby given that the Board of Appeal and Equalization of Page Township shall meet on Tuesday, April 28th, 10:00 AM at the Page Town Hall (21804 – 140th Ave, Milaca). Due to the public health emergency, only one member of the public will be admitted at a time. Call-in options will be available and will be posted on the front door and on www.PageTownship.org. Contact the Clerk at (320) 247-5030 or [email protected] for questions regarding remote access.

      The purpose of this meeting is to determine whether taxable property in the Town has been properly valued and classified by the assessor, and also to determine whether corrections need to be made.

      If you believe the value or classification of your property is incorrect, please contact the Mille Lacs County Assessor’s office (320-983-8311) to discuss your concerns. If you are still not satisfied with the valuation or classification after conferring with the Assessor, you may appear before the Page Township Board of Appeal & Equalization. An appointment through the Assessor is necessary (320-983-8311). The Board shall review the valuation, classification, or both if necessary, and shall correct it as needed. Generally, an appearance before your local Board is required by law before an appeal can be taken to the County Board of Appeal and Equalization.
